Here is a specially chosen selection of our natural horse health products which are particularly beneficial for older horses.
No Bute
A natural alternative to phenylbutazone this supplement can be used safely long term with none of the potentially debilitating side effects associated with ‘bute’. No Bute is used for attaining and maintaining healthy joints and has proved useful for horses and ponies who have suffered from arthritis.
Hormonise
This product is invaluable in maintaining the health of horses and ponies that have suffered from Cushings disease. Cushings is a collection of clinical signs and symptoms that are the result of hormonal imbalances. These are caused by either over activity of the pituarity gland or a tumour in the gland itself. Hormonise encourages normal activity of the pituarity gland. Hormonise is also excellent for attitude problems and unpredictable behaviour in moody mares.
Cush-Aid
Developed to assist in the management of symptoms of Cushings disease and it is designed to be fed in conjunction with Hormonise. It will help maintain the immune system, appetite and digestion and counteract depression as well as supplying vital vitamins and nutrients. It contains no sugar and is safe to feed to laminitics.
No Wheeze
Chronic airway disease is common in elderly horses and ponies. This product is a powerful and very rapid stimulant for horses troubled with wind respiratory sinus and bronchial problems. It can be used to ease discomfort associated with ‘coughing’ and generally help soothe the airways.
Haemoboost
A vitamin B6, B12, Folic Acid and Iron liquid tonic on a sorbitol base, formulated to help maintain healthy blood levels. Very beneficial for weight loss where age related problems may occur e.g. poorly masticated feed stuffs resulting in digestion issues, Haemoboost is a useful aid in the recovery from illness etc.
Immuboost
